Allan Banford’s mission is to create art that never goes out of style — pieces that people of any age or era can connect with. He doesn’t stick to one form of expression either. From paintings and digital art to music and writing, Allan brings his ideas to life in all kinds of creative ways.
His work dives into the connection between people and the world around them, mixing different concepts and mediums to create something original and lasting. Through his projects, Allan links the past, present, and future, showing how creativity can bridge time.
By blending natural and artificial elements, he challenges how we see the world and invites us to imagine what’s next. At the heart of everything he does is a belief in creating art that makes a lasting impact.
Allan also aims to create art and stories that don’t just capture a moment but continue to spark curiosity and conversation long after they’re made. His creations invite people to look beyond trends and consider how creativity shapes our world and our future.
His body of work spans multiple forms — painting, digital art, music, and writing — and refuses to be confined to any single style or movement. Each project develops its own distinct personality and concept, giving him the freedom to draw inspiration from anywhere.
That versatility makes his work resonate with a wide range of people, from art collectors to creative thinkers across different fields. Through his vision, Allan encourages reflection on the creative process itself — how what we make shapes our identity, culture, and the legacy we leave behind.
Extended Biography
A life is a journey of constant change, creativity, and discovery. From a young age, Allan Banford felt a powerful urge to create — a passion that would one day shape him into a multidisciplinary artist known for his abstract paintings, digital art, installations, and electronic music.
As a child, Allan drew and painted on anything he could find — even on the paintings hanging in his house. For him, art was a way to explore emotions, curiosity, and meaning. He loved adding his own touches to existing artworks during what he called his “home refurbishment program.” This playful approach continued until he painted over his mother’s graduation portrait — marking the end of his artistic freedom at home, but teaching him an essential lesson: creativity needs its own space. From then on, he began painting on canvas, keeping his imagination alive and ideas preserved forever.
From Design to Sound
As he grew older, Allan’s interests expanded into graphic design and technology. He taught himself Photoshop and Illustrator, laying the foundation for his later digital practice. Yet something still felt incomplete — that’s when music entered the picture.
Starting as a DJ, he crafted high-energy sets rooted in tech-house and techno, drawing inspiration from pioneers such as Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, and Richie Hawtin. His natural flow and passion for sound soon earned him a reputation for live performances that combined precision, emotion, and spontaneity.
Allan eventually built his own recording studio in Kensington, London, where he developed an experimental style blending Electro Techno and Electronica. His early releases gained international recognition, opening doors to collaborations and live appearances across the globe.
He later launched three record labels:
- Evolved Records — for established artists exploring new directions.
- Evopro Recordings — to nurture emerging talent.
- NB Records — focused on his own audiovisual projects.
Each platform became a creative playground, uniting experimentation, collaboration, and storytelling through rhythm. Music taught Allan how to communicate with large audiences and connect emotionally — lessons that would inform his visual art practice.
The Transition to Visual Art
While music gave him a new voice, visual art remained his deepest language. Combining his experience in design and sound, Allan began exploring painting and digital creation with renewed purpose. He immersed himself in the works of J.M.W. Turner, Francis Bacon, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, On Kawara, and Gerhard Richter, studying their use of light, emotion, and abstraction.
Over time, he developed a unique visual vocabulary defined by movement, texture, and transformation. One of his signature techniques, “Laceration,” involves breaking down a subject until it becomes abstract — capturing energy, emotion, and rhythm through layered forms. These works challenge perception, transforming overlooked details into visual experiences exploring identity, time, and consciousness.

Digitalism and the Future of Art
Never content with boundaries, Allan expanded his practice into digital and algorithmic art, merging traditional craft with new technologies. His groundbreaking series, Digitalism, uses a custom-coded algorithm to translate combinations of characters and numbers into vast, multi-million-pixel color sequences.
These digital abstractions explore the intersection of organic and artificial, emotion and computation, human memory and machine logic. Allan invites viewers to reflect on how technology reshapes creativity, perception, and identity. His digital works have been exhibited physically and virtually across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
He also launched a signature wine series in Tai Kwun, Hong Kong, blending sensory experience, design, and storytelling.
